Jeffrey Madrick is the American editor of “Challenge Magazine”, a bimonthly economics publication. He also writes a monthly column on economics for “The New York Times”. He has written several books, including “Taking America” and “The End of Affluence”. Today he is a regular contributor to “The New York Review of Books”, the Sunday Business Section of “The New York Times”, among others.
Madrick is professor of humanities at The Cooper Union, and director of policy research at the Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis, The New School. In 1983, he became an on-air economics correspondent for NBC News and won an Emmy Award. His most recent book is “Why Economies Grow”.
