Julie Hanson is the former Program Director of Outward Bound’s Voyageur School in Minnesota and a polar explorer with the International Arctic Project. In 1995 she joined a team of seven explorers who accomplished the first dog-sled traverse of the Arctic Ocean in a single season. She graduated with a B.A. in biology and physical education from Concordia College in 1975.
