Robert Levithan is a New York City psychotherapist who helps patients cope with living with HIV/AIDS, a disease from which he also suffers. He is also a counselor and co-chairman of Friends in Deed, which provides a range of support for anyone with a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS, cancer or other life-threatening physical illnesses and also provides support for family members, caregivers and friends of someone who has been diagnosed with such an illness.
