Stephen Covey is the internationally best-selling author of “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” His latest book, “The 8th Habit,” was published in 2004.
Dr. Covey is the founder of the Covey Leadership Center in Salt Lake City (now the Franklin Cover Company), a global professional services firm and specialty retailer. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Points of Light Foundation. Based in Washington, D.C., the Foundation, through its partnership with the Volunteer Center National Network, engages and mobilizes millions of volunteers from all walks of life-businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, low-income communities, families, youth, and older adults-to help solve serious social problems in thousands of communities.
In 2003, Dr. Covey received the National Fatherhood Award which, as the father of 9 and grandfather of 44, he says is the most meaningful award he has ever received.
