John Naisbitt is an American author and public speaker in the area of future studies.

He is best known for authoring the international bestsellers, “Megetrends,” which was written in 1982 and Re-inventing the Corporation. “Megetrends” was translated and published in 57 countries, selling more than 9 million copies and remained on “The New York Times” bestseller list for more than 2 years.

He gained political experience as a Special Assistant to Lyndon B. Johnson. This assertion is questioned in an article by Lynne Cheney in the Washingtonian, 1985, “The Real John Naisbitt.” It is revealed that a check with several Johnson?s former top staff members found none had ever heard of or known Naisbitt. He is currently a faculty member of Nanjing University in China and holds 15 honorary doctorates.
