Huntington is an American business executive. He spent more than 30 years at Fiduciary Trust Company, as its President and its Chief Executive Officer and then as Chairman of the Board, until his retirement in June 2000. He currently serves as the Chairman of St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Chairman of the Woods Hole Research Center and Vice Chairman of the Board of the South Street Seaport Museum. In addition, he serves on the Board of the Commonwealth Fund and the Board of the Josiah Macy Foundation.

Huntington is former Chairman of the New York Law School, former Chairman of the New York City Citizens Budget Commission and former Chairman of the World Wildlife Fund. He served as a member of the New York City-State Commission on Integrity in Government and served for ten years as a member of the New York State Common Retirement Fund Investment Committee.
