Robert Rosenblum (1927 - 2006) was an art historian and Professor of Fine Arts. He received numerous distinctions, including honorary degrees from Oxford University, the Pratt Institute, and Queens College. In 2003, the French government named him a Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur. Two years later, New York University recognized his record as a teacher with the Distinguished Teaching Award. He wrote the book “Transformations in Late Eighteenth-Century Art” (1967).
