R.J. Cutler is a television- and film-maker, specializing in film documentaries and “serious reality TV.” He was educated at Harvard University and graduated in 1983.

Cutler is well known for “The War Room,” a documentary which showed the 1992 presidential campaign of Bill Clinton. In 2001, he won an Emmy for “American High,” a documentary about the lives of students in Highland Park, Illinois. Other notable documentaries and shows include, “Black. White” (2006), a Fox television series that featured two families, one white, the other black, who traded places and races, “Military Diaries” (2002) and “30 Days” (2005).

Cutler is also a producer of numerous television programs.
