Michael Price is a value investor and manages a private firm, MFP Investors.. He started out as a research assistant at Max Heine. In 1996, he sold Heine Securities to Franklin Resources for $670 million. He has donated considerable sums to his alma mater, Oklahoma University, and the College of Business, one of its buildings, and a large endowment all bear his name.
