Jim “Soni” Sonefeld is an American musician. He is one of the founding members of Hootie & the Blowfish. Sonefeld plays drums, percussion and piano for the band, and has also contributed to their songs.

Hootie and the Blowfish are best known for their mainstream debut album, Cracked Rear View, which went platinum 16 times in the U.S. and becoming the best-selling album of 1995. The album was propelled by four hits, “Hold My Hand”, “Let Her Cry”, “Only Wanna Be With You”, and “Time”.
