Sanford Kwinter is a New York based writer, designer and philosopher. He is cofounder and editor of “Zone” and “Zone Books”. He has written widely on philosophical issues of design, architecture and urbanism. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Columbia University and is associate professor at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
