Carolyn Bosher Maloney is a New York Democrat serving in the United States House of Representatives for New York’s 14th congressional district since 1993. She was elected to the New York City Council in 1982 and served as a Council member for 10 years.
In Congress, she serves on the Committee on Financial Services, the Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, and the Joint Economic Committee. Maloney is the Chair of the Democratic Task Force on the Homeland Security Department. In 2006, she was named Vice Chairwoman of the Joint Economic Committee for the 110th Congress.
