Reed E. Hundt was chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 1993 to 1997. He oversaw the introduction of spectrum auctions and the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and reduced substantially the rates for international telecommunications service.
After leaving the FCC, Hundt has worked as an advisor to McKinsey & Company and to the Blackstone Group. He has also joined the board of several technology companies, including Intel Corp. In addition, Hundt is on the advisory board of Yale School of Management. He has written “You Say You Want A Revolution: A Story of Information Age Politics” and “In China’s Shadow: The Crisis of American Entrepreneurship”.
