James Lasdun is a writer and academic who currently lives in upstate New York. He has written two novels, The Horned Man in 2002 and Seven Lies, which was longlisted for the 2006 Man Booker Prize for fiction. He has published three collections of short stories and four books of poetry. ?Landscape with Chainsaw” (2001) was short-listed for the Forward Prize for poetry.
Lasdun is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in poetry, and the 1999 winner of the London ?Times Literary Supplement? Poetry Competition. In May 2006 he won the inaugural UK National Short Story Prize for his story ?An Anxious Man?. Lasdun teaches poetry and fiction writing at Princeton University, New York University and Columbia University.
