Alan Richard Michaels is an American television sportscaster, currently employed by NBC Sports after nearly three decades (1977 - 2006) with ABC Sports.

Michaels is one of the most prominent and respected members of his profession. He is perhaps best known for his broadcast of the U.S. national hockey team?s gold medal victory over the Soviet in the 1980 winter Olympics (known as the Miracle on Ice), which culminated in his widely quoted catchphrase, “Do you believe in miracles? Yes!”
