Pancho Segura was an Equadorian-American tennis player, coach and author. Segura won many matches against the greatest players in the world. He won the title three years in a row from 1950 through 1952. After retiring from the tour, Segura became a teaching professional for many years in Southern California and is widely credited with helping form the young Jimmy Connors. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1984.
