Colin Dunne is a professional Irish dancer from Birmingham, England. He trained at the Marion Turley Academy of Irish Dance in Coventry and won a total of nine World Championships, eleven Great Britain, nine All Ireland and eight All England titles in competitive Irish dancing. Dunne taught dance in Ireland, the United States, New Zealand and Australia and put out an Irish dance instructional video ‘Celtic Feet’ in 1995.
After touring with The Chieftains Irish band in the UK and Canada, Dunne was asked to take Michael Flatley?s place in Riverdance in the mid-1990s. He danced in the show until 1998, when he left to start a dance studio with Jean Butler. He served as dancer in residence at the University of Limerick and continues to perform and teach dancing.
