Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban is Minister of Expatriates in Syria, a writer and professor. Before assuming her current ministerial position, he was Director of the Press Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Syria. Since 1988, she has represented Syria as a spokeswoman on an international level. Dr. Shaaban has published four books, and contributed to many others.
