Terrence Vance Gilliam is an American/British filmmaker and animator, and the sole American member of the Monty Python comedy troupe.
Terry Gilliam started his career as an animator and strip cartoonist, animating features for Do Not “Adjust Your Set” before joining “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”.
Gilliam went on to become a motion picture writer and director, earning 5 Academy Award nominations for “The Fisher King” (1991). His other notable films include: “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, “Brazil”, “Twelve Monkeys”, and “The Brothers Grimm”.
