Mary Kerry Kennedy is the seventh of the eleven children of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy. She is on the board of directors for the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial and founded the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights (CHR). In July of 2004, she led a delegation from the CHR to Liberia. She is also on the advisory board of The International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life at Brandeis University and was awarded the Gold Mercury Award for Humanitarian Action 2006 for her efforts in defending human rights activists.

Kennedy is the former wife of Andrew Cuomo.
