Robert “Bob” A. Lutz is the General Motors Vice Chairman of Product Development and Chairman of GM North America, the world’s largest automaker. He was previously an executive at Exide Technologies, and at Chrysler Corporation (now DaimlerChrysler), where he oversaw the development of the Dodge Viper, Plymouth Prowler and Chrysler LH platform automobiles.

Lutz is one of few senior automotive executives with experience in both hemispheres and more than one major manufacturer. A former aviator in the U.S. Marine Corps, he authored the management and leadership book, “Guts”.
