Oliver James Platt is a Canadian film and television actor. He is a distant cousin of Diana, Princess of Wales, through their shared descent from the American heiress Frances Work. From 2004 to 2006 Platt starred as lawyer Russell Tupper in “Huff”, for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He also played Oliver Babish, White House Counsel, on the TV show “The West Wing”.
