Sergei Vladilenovich Kiriyenko is a Russian politician and government official. In 1998, he briefly served as the Prime Minister of Russia from March to August, under then president Boris Yeltsin. Prior to his nomination as Prime Minister, Kiriyenko served as Minister of Energy. Kiriyenko has also served as a member of the Duma, under the Union of Right Forces party. In 2005, he was appointed to head Rosatom, Russsia’s Federal Atomic Energy Agency.
