David Michaelis is an American writer who lives in Washington, D.C., and writes about books for “The New York Observer”.
Michaelis is the author of “N.C. Wyeth: A Biography” and a contributor to “Wondrous Strange: The Wyeth Tradition” and “One Nation: Patriots and Pirates Portrayed by N. C. Wyeth and James Wyeth Bulfinch.” His previous works include a collection of biographical sketches, “The Best of Friends”and a novel, “Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl.”
From 1983 to 1986, Michaelis was a contributing editor for the business magazine “Manhattan, inc.” Michaelis mixed reporting, satire, and verse to cover greed and excess on Wall Street.
