Jeff Giles is a senior editor at “Newsweek”.
Jeff Giles was named senior editor of the Arts & Entertainment section in April 2003. In this position, he is responsible for leading Newsweek?s team of arts and entertainment journalists and guiding the overall direction of the section. Most recently, he wrote the cover story, “Hail to the Rings,” about the third installment of the “Lord of the Rings” triology, offering readers an exclusive look at the movie.
Previously, Giles was a senior editor in the section since December 1997 and was a senior writer since 1996. While he sets the direction of the entertainment coverage, Giles also contributes profiles, features, and reviews on the entertainment industry.
