Candice Carpenter is the American co-founder and CEO of iVillage.com, currently one of the top 20 destinations on the Internet. iVillage received the Angel Award for raising the awareness of issues important to women in the 2000 election. In 2000, Candice received several prestigious awards, including the Matrix Award, the highest honor given to women in the media, the MIT Institute Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership, and the Innovators in Women?s Health Award.
Carpenter?s entrepreneurial success has drawn national media attention and she has been featured in such major magazines and newspapers as “The New Yorker”, “Wired”, and “The New York Times”, among others. She is also the Managing Director of the Transitions Institute.
