Peter Mayle is a British author famous for his series of books detailing life in Provence, France. In 1989, “A Year in Provence” was published and it became an international bestseller. His books have been translated into over 20 languages and he has contributed to various magazines and newspapers. His book ‘A Good Year’ was the basis for the 2006 film by the same name directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe.
Mayle?s other works include “Encore Provence: New Adventures in the South of France”, “Bon Appetit: Travels Through France With Knife, Fork and Corkscrew”, and “Confessions of a French Baker”.
