Maro Chermayeff is an award-winning American director, producer, and editor whose numerous and diverse film and television programs have been highly acclaimed and won many awards. She is a member of The Directors Guild of America (DGA), New York Women in Film, The International Documentary Association, and Motion Picture Editors Union (IATSE).
Chermayeff recently produced and directed “Frontier House” for PBS Thirteen/WNET. The series was nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Doc/Reality Series, and is winner of the Cine Golden Eagle Prize for every episode in the series. She was producer, director and editor of the award-winning feature length documentary “The Kindness of Strangers”. She is also veteran editor with numerous credits including the Peabody and Emmy Award winning “The Choice ‘96”.
Chermayeff is post-Producer/director and editor for the “Charlie Rose Specials”. She has also produced and edited several seasons of WNET/PBS’s Emmy award-winning “City Arts” series, including the Emmy Award nominee “Juilliard: Taking the Vow”. She served as Editor and Associate Producer for the award winning film “Bali: Beyond the Postcard”, among many others.
