Charles F. (Rick) Rule is an American lawyer. Rule’s practice focuses on providing U.S. and international antitrust advice to corporate clients particularly with respect to mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. He also represents major corporations in connection with civil and grand jury investigations by the United States Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and the European Commission and in private and governmental litigation both at the trial and appellate levels.
Rule has represented clients such as Microsoft Corporation; US Airways Inc.; and Goldman, Sachs & Co. He served the Reagan Administration in the position of Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division. He received the Edmund J. Randolph Award from the Justice Department in 1988, and is listed among the world’s leading antitrust lawyers by a variety of publications including “Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business”.
