Lars Sven (Lasse) Hallström is a Swedish film director.
Hallström learned his craft making music videos, in particular those made for the group ABBA, which pioneered the era of the music video, and also many innovative styles of film making. All of ABBA’s videos were directed and shot by Hallström (excluding ‘Chiquitita’, which was made by the BBC, and ‘Under Attack’ and ‘The Day Before You Came’, which were directed by Kjell Sundvall and Kjell-Åke Andersson). After the international success of “My Life as a Dog”, he has been working on American movies.
