Jennifer Ehle is a Tony Award-winning stage and screen actress of a British mother and an American father.
In 1992, Ehle starred in the mini-series ‘The Camomile Lawn’. Her performance as Elizabeth Bennet in the 1995 mini-series ‘Pride and Prejudice’ gained her a BAFTA award. After a stint with the Royal Shakespeare Company, she had her first major film role in ‘Paradise Road’, and in 2000 she won a Tony Award for her Broadway debut in Tom Stoppard’s ‘The Real Thing’. After a hiatus, she returned to the stage in 2005 in ‘The Philadelphia Story’ and in June 2006 she starred as Lady Macbeth in The Public Theater’s production of ‘Macbeth’.
