Ronald Sobel is a senior rabbi emeritus of Temple Emanu-El, the major Reform congregation on Fifth Avenue. In 1973 Dr. Ronald B. Sobel became the youngest senior rabbi elected by the Congregation, carrying the legacy of Gustav Gottheil as a leading advocate of interfaith relations, both in the national and international arenas.
