Dana Canedy is a Pulitzer Prize winning editor for “The New York Times”. A former reporter for the “Times” she has been recognized for her essay, “From Father to Son, Last Words to Live By, from a journal written by her fiancé who died while serving in Iraq. Canedy’s essay originally appeared on January 1 of this year. She is now writing a book for Crown Publishing Group. Denzel Washington will produce and possibly star in a film “Journal for Jordan,” based on the journal. Escape Artists at Columbia Pictures acquired the film rights.
