Patrick McEnroe is an American former professional tennis player and the present Captain of the United States Davis Cup team. His best Grand Slam singles performance came at the 1991 Australian Open, where he reached the semi-finals before being knocked-out by eventual-champion Boris Becker.
McEnroe retired from his professional tour in 1998. His career-high singles ranking was World No. 28 in 1995. He also served as captain of the US men’s tennis team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He is a part owner of the New York Sportimes of World Team Tennis. He also serves as a TV commentator for CBS Sports and ESPN.
