Gitta Sereny is a Hungarian-born British biographer, historian and journalist. Her writing focuses mainly on the Holocaust and abused children. In the 2004 New Years Honours List Sereny was awarded a CBE for services to Journalism. Her body of work includes the books: “Albert Speer: His Battle with Truth”, “The Case of Mary Bell”, and “Cries Unheard” a standard text for professionals working with problem children.
