Richard Roeper is an American columnist/film critic for the “Chicago Sun-Times” and, since September of 2000, has co-hosted “Ebert & Roeper” with fellow film critic Roger Ebert. He is an occasional panelist on the NPR humorous news quiz “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!”.

Roeper has given some popular films thumbs down: Both “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” received negative reviews. He has given lists of his ten favorite films of the year, annually, since he began co hosting the show in 2000.
