David Henry Hwang is perhaps best known as the author of the smash Broadway hit, “M. Butterfly”, which won a Tony, Drama Desk, John Gassner and Outer Critics Circle Awards, as well as the 1991 L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award. Hwang’s play, “Golden Child” earned a Tony Award and Outer Critics Circle Nominations. Hwang has been awarded as honorary doctorate from Columbia College in Chicago.
