Jodi Cobb is an American photographer. Her work has appeared in the “National Geographic Society”. She has published several books of her photography including “Journey Into China”, and “Geisha: The Life, the Voices, the Art”. Jodi?s photographs have been exhibited at the International Center of Photography in New York; the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.; and the Visa Pour L’Image photojournalism festival in Perpignan, France.
Cobb has lectured at the International Center of Photography, Asia Society, Japan Society, and 92nd Street Y in New York City, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. She was the first woman to be named the White House News Photographers’ Association’s Photographer of the Year. Her book “Geisha” won an American Society of Media Photographers award in 1996. She was named a member of the United States Presidential Delegation to the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan.
