Harold O. Levy is the former Chancellor of New York City Schools, serving under Mayor Rudy Giuliani from 2000 to 2002. Levy is a former corporate lawyer who came to the school system from Citigroup, Inc., where he was Director of Global Compliance.

In 2003, Levy joined Kaplan, Inc. to oversee the creation of a school of education within Kaplan College.
