Andrew Solomon is a writer who wrote for “The New York Times Magazine” as well as for other publications. He is known for his book “The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression”, which chronicles his experiences with clinical depression. The book has won fourteen national awards, including the 2001 National Book Award, and was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

He has also written A Stone Boat, which was a runner up for the LA Times First Fiction prize and a national bestseller. He is a graduate of Yale University.
