Dr. Silviu Itescu, M.D. is the lead researcher and a faculty member at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He is also the director of transplantation immunology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Stem cell research is the main focus of his studies. Dr. Itescu is the Chief Scientific Adviser at Mesoblast Limited.
