Juliette Kayyem is Executive Director of the Executive Session on Domestic Preparedness, a standing task force of leading practitioners and academics assembled to examine America’s response to terrorism. From 1999-2001, she served as Minority Leader Richard Gephardt’s appointment to the National Commission on Terrorism. Before that, she was a legal advisor to the Attorney General and Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the United States Department of Justice. She is a also member of the bipartisan Constitution Project’s program on Liberty and Security, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the American Bar Association’s committee on National Security Law.
