Courtney Ross-Holst is Founder and Co-Chairperson of The Ross School and Ross Institute. During the 1990s she established a strong connection to the People’s Republic of China and gifted provincial museums with computer technology to enhance and facilitate their research in the field of archaeology. In 2002 the Courtney and Steven J. Ross Multi-Media and Communications Center opened at the Shanghai Museum in China. At the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1998 she instituted the Courtney Sale Ross Mainland China Scholarship for Arts in Education. She has funded scholarship programs and gifted funds to Harvard University, University of Southern California, New York University, Yale University, and Skidmore College among others.
Ross-Holst serves on many Boards which include the United Nations Association of the United States and the Business Council of the United Nations (UNA-USA); FACT (The Foundation for the Advancement of Cardiac Therapies); The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations; and Quincy Jones’ Listen Up Foundation.
