William J. Lennox, Jr. is an American Lieutenant General Houston, Texas. He assumed duties as the 56th Superintendent of the United States Military Academy in 2001. He has served in a wide variety of field assignments, and in a number of staff positions including White House Fellow, Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Army, and Executive Officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans.

General Lennox has joined the Goodrich Corporation as Senior Vice President. His awards include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal; the Distinguished Service Medal; the Legion of Merit with 4 Oak leaf clusters, among others.
