Julian Fellowes, born Julian Alexander Kitchener-Fellowes, is a British actor and Academy Award-winning screenplay writer.

Fellowes appeared on the television series ‘Monarch of the Glen’, and was also in the 1996 BBC drama serial ‘Our Friends in the North’. In 2001 he won an Academy Award for the screenplay for ‘Gosford Park’. He also wrote a novel, ‘Snobs’, which was published in 2004, and in 2005 he began the show ‘Julian Fellowes Investigates: A Most Mysterious Murder’ on BBC One. He also penned the script to the Disney Broadway musical Mary Poppins. In late 2005 Fellowes made his directorial debut with the film ‘Separate Lies’. He is the presenter of ‘Never Mind the Full Stops’, a panel-based gameshow transmitted on BBC Four.
