Steven P. Roose, M.D. is Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia University and Director of the Neuropsychiatry Research Clinic at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Roose’s research group in the Psychoanalytic Center has conducted studies on the feasibility of applying psychotherapy research methods to psychoanalysis.
Dr. Roose has contributed to over 200 articles and has co-edited or authored 6 books. He currently serves on the editorial board of a number of journals including “The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry,” and “Heart Disease and the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association.”
