Strobe Talbott is an American diplomat and political scientist. As President of the Brookings Institute, he leads a staff of 277, including a number of the world’s leading public policy scholars, and presides over an endowment of over $200 million. He is a former Deputy Secretary of State and a distinguished foreign affairs author and journalist.

Talbott is a world federalist who has written for “Time” magazine. He has written several books, including “Engaging India: Diplomacy, Democracy, and the Bomb”, “The Russia Hand: A Memoir of Presidential Diplomacy”, and “Master of the gameĀ : Paul Nitze and the nuclear peace”.
