Pierre Schneider is an art historian, author and critic. He is an author of many works of esthetics and history of art, collaborator of several English, American and German reviews of art. Schneider worked with the critic and historian of art George Duthuit, son-in-law of Matisse, over ten years.
Schneider was the adviser and the organizer of great exposures on Giacometti, Chagall and Matisse, accompanied by catalogues which refer. He also translated from English the “Henri Matisse” of John Jacobus.
