Hillary is a New Zealand mountain climber. Like his father, Sir Edmund Hillary, Peter Hillary has climbed Mt. Everest and has reached the South Pole overland widely recognized as two of the most significant accomplishments in the world of adventuring and exploration. In 2002, Peter climbed Mt. Everest again for a National Geographic Documentary. He also assists in raising funds for the Himalayan Trust, which was established by his father and which runs 42 schools and hospitals in Nepal.
Peter Hillary’s articles have been published in “The New York Times”, the “Sydney Morning Herald”, Melbourne’s “The Age”, and other high profile dailies. Peter Hillary is the author of five books, including “In the Ghost Country” released in May 2003.
