John Gavin Malkovich is an Academy Award-nominated American actor, producer and director. He won an Emmy Award for the television adaptation of “Death of a Salesman”. His major role debut in “Places in the Heart” garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Malkovich played the leading part in Stephen Frears’ adaptation of Choderlos de Laclos’ “Dangerous Liaisons”. In 1994, he was nominated for an Oscar for “In the Line of Fire”, and is also noted for playing himself in the movie “Being John Malkovich”. He recently appeared in “Art School Confidential” and in “The Hitchhiker?s Guide to the Galaxy”.
